Nakuru means "Dust or Dusty Place" in Maasai language. Lake Nakuru National Park, close to Nakuru town, was established in 1961. It started off small, only encompassing the famous lake and the surrounding mountainous vicinity.

Enjoy the view of the Great Rift Valley from the escarpments and then descend to the Lake Nakuru National Park which includes a large part of the Savannah.

This lake offers one of the world's most spectacular wildlife sight, that of brilliant pink flamingos as far as the eye can see.

Spend a whole Morning viewing in an exciting game drive will take you to see thousands of flamingos and other bird species in addition to the white and black rhinos, leopards, buffalos and waterbucks.

Lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge then afternoon game drive. You will leave for Nairobi arriving at 6.00pm.
